Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF), commonly known as KL University or KL Deemed to be University, is a private deemed university with its main campus at Vaddeswaram, Guntur district, near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. Founded in 1980 as Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering and granted Deemed-to-be-University status in 2009 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, KLEF has additional campuses in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

KLEF operates 8 colleges offering 100+ UG, PG and PhD programmes across Engineering & Technology (KL College of Engineering), Pharmacy, Management (KL Business School), Law, Sciences, Humanities, Architecture, Hospitality, Performing Arts and Agricultural Sciences. KLEF is consistently ranked among the leading deemed universities in NIRF and is NAAC A++ accredited.

KLEF admissions are conducted through a suite of own entrance examinations: KLEEE (Engineering), KLMAT (MBA), KLECET (lateral entry), KLHAT (Humanities), and KLSAT (Architecture). The university also accepts JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions. PhD admissions go through the KLEF PhD entrance plus interview.

KLEF conducts a suite of own entrance examinations: KLEEE for B.Tech, KLMAT for MBA, KLECET for lateral entry, KLHAT for Humanities programmes, and KLSAT for Architecture. JEE Main scores are also accepted for B.Tech admissions. PhD admissions go through the KLEF PhD entrance plus interview. Most KLEF entrance exams are conducted in three phases each year.

Eligibility

B.Tech: Class 10+2 from a recognised board with PCM at 60%+ aggregate (relaxation for reserved categories) and a valid KLEEE / JEE Main score. UG (BBA, B.Com, BCA, BA, integrated): 10+2 with at least 50%. MBA: Bachelor's with at least 50% and a valid KLMAT / CAT score. Lateral entry B.Tech: Diploma in Engineering with 60%+ and a valid KLECET score. PhD: Master's with 55%+ and qualifying UGC-NET / GATE / KLEF PhD entrance plus interview.
