About North East Frontier Technical University

North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) is a state private university located at Aalo, headquarters of West Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh, established by The North East Frontier Technical University Act, 2014 of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956. The university focuses on technical and professional education in the eastern Himalayas.

NEFTU offers UG, PG and Doctoral programmes across engineering (B.Tech), management (MBA), computer applications (MCA), education (B.Ed) and humanities, alongside Ph.D research programmes. Admission to UG and PG programmes is largely on the basis of qualifying-examination merit, with university-conducted entrance / interview where the regulator requires it (NCTE for B.Ed; AICTE / regulator-prescribed criteria for MBA / MCA).
