About Rajiv Gandhi University

Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) is a Central University located at Rono Hills, Doimukh, on the outskirts of Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh. Originally founded in 1984 as Arunachal University by an Act of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the institution was renamed Rajiv Gandhi University and converted into a Central University on 9 April 2007 by the Rajiv Gandhi University Act, 2006.

RGU offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes across humanities, social sciences, sciences, commerce, management, education and law. Admission to UG and PG programmes is conducted through CUET UG and CUET PG (NTA) respectively, while Ph.D admissions use the Rajiv Gandhi University Ph.D Entrance Test (RGUPET).

CUET UG 2026 is being conducted from 11 May to 31 May 2026 by the National Testing Agency. RGU's admission notification, programme list and counselling schedule are published on the official portal at rgu.ac.in.

CUET UG / CUET PG 2026
Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA)

CUET UG and CUET PG are conducted by NTA on behalf of UGC for admission to UG and PG programmes at participating Central, State, Private and Deemed-to-be Universities. RGU also conducts the Rajiv Gandhi University Ph.D Entrance Test (RGUPET) for Ph.D admission.

Eligibility

UG: 10+2 from a recognised board with the prescribed subject combination plus a valid CUET UG score in the relevant domain papers. PG: Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline with the minimum aggregate prescribed; CUET PG score. Ph.D: Master's degree with 55% (50% reserved); RGUPET / NET-JRF / GATE qualification.

How to Apply

    Apply for CUET UG / CUET PG
    Register on cuet.nta.nic.in (UG) or cuetpg.nta.nic.in (PG), select Rajiv Gandhi University as a preferred university, choose subjects / domain papers and pay the application fee.
