About Maharshi Dayanand University
Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) is a state university located at Rohtak in Haryana, established in 1976 by the Maharshi Dayanand University Act, 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly. MDU is named after the Arya Samaj founder Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and is the principal affiliating university for colleges across the Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sonipat, Jind, Bhiwani, Hisar and southern Haryana districts. NAAC A+ accredited.
MDU offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes through 11 faculties and 38 departments. UG admission for 2026-27 is through CUET UG (NTA) for select programmes plus merit-based registration; B.Tech admission via JEE Main + HSTES; PG admission via CUET PG or MDU PG Entrance.
CUET UG 2026 is being conducted from 11 to 31 May 2026. The MDU 2026-27 admission portal is at mdu.ac.in.
