About National Dairy Research Institute
National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) is a deemed-to-be university located at GT Road, Karnal in Haryana, originally established in 1923 as Imperial Institute of Animal Husbandry and Dairying at Bangalore, shifted to Karnal in 1955 as NDRI, and conferred deemed-to-be university status in 1989. NDRI operates under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and is India's premier institute for dairy research and education.
NDRI offers UG (B.Tech Dairy Technology), PG (M.Sc, M.Tech) and Ph.D programmes across dairy chemistry, dairy microbiology, dairy economics, dairy technology, dairy engineering, animal biotechnology and animal physiology. UG admission via ICAR AIEEA UG; PG via ICAR AIEEA PG; Ph.D via AICE-Ph.D.
