About Atal Medical and Research University, Himachal Pradesh (formerly Himachal Pradesh University of Health Sciences)

Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh — formerly Himachal Pradesh University of Health Sciences — is a state health-sciences university located at Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, established in 2018 by an Act of the HP Legislative Assembly and renamed in honour of the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. AMRU is the principal affiliating university for medical, dental, AYUSH, nursing, pharmacy and paramedical colleges across HP.

AMRU oversees admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, D.Pharm and allied health programmes. MBBS / BDS via NEET UG + HP State Quota counselling; BAMS / BHMS via NEET UG + AYUSH counselling; PG (MD/MS) via NEET PG; MDS via NEET MDS; nursing / pharmacy via AMRU CET or HP State CET.
