About Vinoba Bhave University

Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) is a state university located at Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, established in 1993 by the Bihar Legislative Assembly (pre-Jharkhand statehood) and inherited by Jharkhand upon state formation in 2000. VBU is named after the social reformer Acharya Vinoba Bhave and serves the colleges of the Hazaribagh, Chatra, Koderma and Ramgarh districts of north-central Jharkhand.

VBU offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes through 6 faculties and 30+ departments. UG admission is largely through CUET UG / merit; PG via VBU PG Entrance or CUET PG; LLB via CLAT or VBU Law Entrance.
