About Azim Premji University
Azim Premji University (APU) is a state private university located at Burugunte Village, Sarjapura, Bengaluru in Karnataka, established in 2010 by the Azim Premji University Act, 2010 of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. The university is funded by the Azim Premji Foundation (philanthropy of Wipro Chairman Emeritus Azim Premji) and is dedicated to education, development and policy with a strong focus on the social sector — NIRF Top 100 Universities.
APU offers UG (BA Liberal Arts and Sciences, B.Sc Liberal Arts), PG (M.A. Education, M.A. Public Policy and Governance, M.A. Development, M.A. Economics, MA Sociology) and Ph.D programmes. Admission via Azim Premji University National Entrance Test (APU NET) plus interview; need-based scholarship of up to 100% is offered.
