About Karnataka State Open University

Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is a state Open and Distance Learning (ODL) university located at Mukthagangothri, Mysuru in Karnataka, established in 1996 by the KSOU Act, 1992 of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. KSOU is the only state Open University in Karnataka and serves open / distance / non-formal higher education across the state.

KSOU offers UG (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA), PG (MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MBA, MCA), Diploma, PG Diploma, Certificate and Ph.D programmes through ODL and online modes. Admission is open through merit-based registration on the KSOU portal; UGC-DEB approved for ODL.
