About Karnataka University

Karnatak University (KU) is a state university located at Pavate Nagar, Dharwad in Karnataka, established in 1949 by the Bombay State Legislature and inherited by Karnataka upon reorganisation in 1956. KU is one of the oldest universities in Karnataka and is the principal affiliating university for colleges across the Dharwad, Belagavi, Gadag, Haveri and Uttara Kannada districts of north Karnataka. NAAC A grade.

KU offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes through 7 faculties and 50+ departments across arts, sciences, commerce, management, law, education, languages and computer applications. UG admission is largely through CUET UG / merit; PG via KU PG Entrance or CUET PG; LLB via CLAT or KSLU Entrance.
