DY Patil Agriculture and Technical University, established in 2021 by an Act of the Maharashtra state legislature, is a private state university located at Talsande (Kolhapur district). The university is part of the DY Patil Group (founded by Dr. Dnyandeo Yashwantrao Patil) — and has a unique focus on agriculture, agricultural engineering and rural technical education in southern Maharashtra.
