About Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University

Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (KBCNMU), established in 1990 (operational 1991) at Jalgaon and renamed in 2018 in honour of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari (a Marathi folk poet from Khandesh region known for her ovi poetry), is the principal state university of the Khandesh region of Maharashtra (Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar districts).

KBCNMU has 30 teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Law and Engineering & Technology. It affiliates 200+ UG and PG colleges across the three Khandesh districts. NAAC A grade accredited.
