About Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences
Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Karad, established in 1984 as a medical college and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 2005 under the UGC Act, is a private deemed university located at Malkapur in Karad (Satara district), Maharashtra. The institute is part of the Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Patil) Trust founded by Dr. Suresh Bhosale. KIMS Karad is one of the leading rural-area medical universities in western Maharashtra.
KIMS Karad has six faculties — Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences and Pharmacy. The Krishna Hospital & Medical Research Centre is a 1300-bed teaching hospital. NAAC A grade accredited.
