About Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences
Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), established in 1983 as the Padmashri Vikhe Patil Foundation Medical College and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 2003 under the UGC Act, is a private deemed university located at Loni in Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra. The institute is part of the Pravara Rural Education Society founded by the Vikhe Patil family — pioneers of the cooperative sugar movement in India.
PIMS has faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Allied Health Sciences. The PIMS Medical College & Hospital is a 1300-bed rural teaching hospital — known for providing healthcare to the rural Marathwada and Western MH region. NAAC A grade accredited.
