About Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth
Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth (TMV), established in 1921 in Pune by Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak (one of the foremost figures of the Indian independence movement and the founder of the Indian Home Rule movement) — and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 1987 — is one of the oldest non-government universities in India. The Vidyapeeth was founded with a swadeshi educational philosophy and traditional Indian academic disciplines. Located at Sadashiv Peth, Pune.
TMV has multiple faculties — Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce, Education, Management, Indology (Sanskrit & Vedic Studies), Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences, Pharmacy, Distance Education, Computer Applications and Mass Communication. Offers UG, PG, Diploma, MPhil, PhD and Certificate programmes. NAAC A grade accredited. Strong programmes in Sanskrit, Yoga and Indian Studies.
Admissions through TMV Entrance Test or merit on Plus Two/UG marks. CUET UG/PG accepted for select programmes. CAT/CMAT for MBA. PhD through TMV PhD entrance + interview.
