About Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan

Siksha O Anusandhan (SOA), established in 1996 as the Institute of Technical Education and Research and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 2007 under the UGC Act, is a private deemed university located at Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar. The university is part of the SOA Trust founded by Dr. Manojranjan Nayak — a prominent Odisha educationist. SOA has grown to be one of the largest private deemed universities in eastern India and consistently ranks among the top private universities in NIRF.

SOA has 8 constituent institutes — Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER — engineering), Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital (medical), Institute of Dental Sciences, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Nursing, SOA School of Law, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and SOA School of Hotel Management. The SUM Hospital is a 1500-bed teaching hospital. NAAC A++ accredited; Institute of Eminence (IoE) status considered.
