About Banasthali Vidyapith
Banasthali Vidyapith, established in 1935 as Banasthali Vidyapith School and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 1983 under the UGC Act, is India's largest fully residential women's university. Located at Banasthali in Tonk district (60 km from Jaipur), Banasthali was founded by Pandit Hiralal Shastri and Smt. Ratan Shastri with the vision of building "Panchmukhi Shiksha" (five-fold education — physical, practical, aesthetic, moral and intellectual). Banasthali is unique for combining traditional Indian Gurukula values with modern higher education.
Banasthali Vidyapith has 9 faculties — Education, Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Engineering & Technology, Music, Fine Arts, and Home Science. Offers UG, PG, MPhil and PhD programmes — all admitting women only. NAAC A++ accredited. The Vidyapith is one of the largest women-only higher education institutions in Asia with 16,000+ students.
Admissions through Banasthali Aptitude Test (Banasthali AT) or merit on Plus Two/UG marks. CUET UG/PG accepted for select programmes. PhD through Banasthali PhD entrance. Women candidates only.
