About Jai Narain Vyas University
Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU), established in 1962 as University of Jodhpur and renamed in 1995 in honour of Jai Narain Vyas — the freedom fighter and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, is a state university located in Jodhpur (the Blue City). The university serves the Marwar region of western Rajasthan including Jodhpur, Pali, Sirohi, Jalore, Barmer, Jaisalmer and Nagaur districts.
JNVU has 27 teaching departments organised into multiple faculties — Arts, Commerce, Sciences, Engineering, Law, Education, Medicine and Social Sciences. It affiliates 150+ UG and PG colleges across the Marwar region. NAAC B++ accredited. The Department of Geology and the Department of Energy & Environmental Sciences are research-focal units given Jodhpur's desert ecology.
UG admissions to affiliated colleges through Rajasthan Centralised Admission Process on Plus Two merit. PG admissions through JNVU PG entrance or CUET PG. PhD through JNVU PhD entrance.
