About Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University
Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University (JRRSU), established in 1998 by an Act of the Rajasthan state legislature, is the state Sanskrit university of Rajasthan. Located at Madhau Vihar, Jaipur, the university is named after Jagadguru Ramanandacharya — the 14th-century saint-philosopher and founder of the Ramanandi sampradaya. JRRSU is the apex institution for Sanskrit education in Rajasthan.
JRRSU has departments of Vyakarana (Grammar), Sahitya (Literature), Vedanta, Jyotisha, Dharmashastra, Ayurveda, Yoga, Sanskrit Computing, Performing Arts, Sankhya, Mimansa, Comparative Philology and Manuscriptology. Offers Shastri (BA), Acharya (MA), Vidyavaridhi (PhD), Shiksha Shastri (BEd) and Diploma/Certificate programmes. NAAC accredited.
UG/PG admissions through JRRSU-conducted entrance and merit. CUET UG/PG accepted for select programmes. PhD through JRRSU PhD entrance. Traditional pathshala graduates accepted with equivalence.
