About Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University
Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU), established in 1987 by an Act of the Rajasthan state legislature, is a state university located at Pushkar Bypass, Ajmer. The university is named after Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati — the 19th-century social reformer and founder of the Arya Samaj movement. MDSU was created by carving out the Ajmer region from the University of Rajasthan and serves Ajmer, Bhilwara, Tonk and Nagaur districts.
MDSU has 17 PG teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education and Management. It affiliates over 250 UG and PG colleges across the Ajmer division. NAAC A grade accredited.
UG admissions to affiliated colleges through Rajasthan Centralised Admission Process on Plus Two merit. PG admissions through MDSU PG entrance or CUET PG. PhD through MDSU PhD entrance.
