About Mohan Lal Sukhadia University
Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU), established in 1962 as University of Udaipur and renamed in 1982 in honour of Mohan Lal Sukhadia — the freedom fighter and the longest-serving Chief Minister of Rajasthan (1954-71), is a state university located in Udaipur (the Lake City). The university serves the Mewar region of southern Rajasthan including Udaipur, Rajsamand, Banswara, Dungarpur and Chittorgarh districts.
MLSU has 23 teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Law, Engineering, Management and Performing Arts. It affiliates 150+ UG and PG colleges across the Mewar region. NAAC A grade accredited. The university has strong programmes in Tribal Studies (given the Bhil/Meena tribal populations of southern Rajasthan) and Mineral Engineering (Udaipur is the marble-mining capital of India).
UG admissions to affiliated colleges through Rajasthan Centralised Admission Process on Plus Two merit. PG admissions through MLSU PG entrance or CUET PG. PhD through MLSU PhD entrance.
