About Maharaja Surajmal Brij University
Maharaja Surajmal Brij University (MSBU), established in 2012 by an Act of the Rajasthan state legislature, is a state university located at Bharatpur (Eastern Rajasthan). The university is named after Maharaja Surajmal of Bharatpur (1707-1763) — the legendary Jat ruler who founded the Bharatpur kingdom and is known as the "Plato of the Jat people". MSBU serves the Brij region of eastern Rajasthan — Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur districts.
MSBU has 15 PG teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education and Management. It affiliates 75+ UG and PG colleges across the Brij region. NAAC accredited.
UG admissions to affiliated colleges through Rajasthan CAP on Plus Two merit. PG admissions through MSBU PG entrance or CUET PG. PhD through MSBU PhD entrance.
