About Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University
Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU), established in 2014 by an Act of the Telangana state legislature, is one of India's few state horticultural universities. Located at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, SKLTSHU was formed by separating horticulture programmes from PJTSAU. The university is named after Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji — a freedom fighter and former member of the Telangana statehood movement.
SKLTSHU has Colleges of Horticulture at Rajendranagar Hyderabad, Mojerla (Wanaparthy), Aswaraopet (Bhadradri Kothagudem) and Mulugu. Programmes specialise in horticulture, floriculture, vegetable production, fruit science, post-harvest technology and landscape design. ICAR-accredited.
UG admissions to BSc (Hons) Horticulture through TSEAMCET-AGRI (state quota 85%) and ICAR AIEEA UG (15%). PG/PhD through ICAR AIEEA PG / AICE-JRF and SKLTSHU entrances.
