About Sri P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University
P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU), established in 2014 by an Act of the Telangana state legislature, is the state veterinary and animal sciences university of Telangana. Headquartered at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, the university is named after P.V. Narasimha Rao — the former Prime Minister of India and a Telangana son of soil. PVNRTVU was separated from the erstwhile Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (united AP) post-bifurcation.
PVNRTVU has 4 constituent colleges — College of Veterinary Science (Korutla, Mamnoor, Rajendranagar Hyderabad), College of Dairy Technology (Kamareddy), College of Fishery Science. Operates 8 research stations. ICAR-accredited; recognised by Veterinary Council of India (VCI).
UG admissions to BVSc & AH through TSEAMCET-VET (state quota 85%) and ICAR AIEEA UG (15%). PG/PhD through ICAR AIEEA PG / AICE-JRF.
