About Bhagwant Global University
Bhagwant Global University, Kotdwar was established in 2016 by Bhagwant Group of Institutions under the Uttarakhand State Legislature Act. It is the Kotdwar-based sister institution of Bhagwant University Ajmer, founded by educationist Anil Singh. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and is approved by AICTE, PCI, INC and NCTE for its respective professional programmes. The campus is located at Pauri-Kotdwar Road, in Pauri Garhwal district at the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas.
Bhagwant Global offers programmes through its Schools of Engineering, Computing, Management, Pharmacy, Nursing, Education, Agriculture, Law, Allied Health Sciences and Arts. Major programmes include BTech (CSE/IT/Civil/Mechanical/EE/ECE), BPharm/MPharm/D.Pharm, BBA/MBA, BCA/MCA, BSc Agriculture, BSc Nursing/GNM, BA-LLB/LLB, BEd/D.El.Ed, BJMC, BHM and PhD. Admissions accept JEE Main, BGU-EE (the university's own entrance), CAT/MAT/CMAT for MBA, UKSEE for pharmacy, and qualifying merit for most programmes.
Bhagwant Global University is one of the youngest private universities in Uttarakhand's hill region and serves students from Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, and adjoining UP plains. The university offers separate boys and girls hostels, transport from Kotdwar railway station, library with 50,000+ titles, computer labs, and the Bhagwant Centre for Skill Development under NSDC framework. Recruiters include regional pharmacies, IT services firms and government healthcare establishments.
